We held our AGM before Golf on Friday with only one major change, being the starting time to stay at 2 pm all year round, with no change during daylight saving in the summer.

The  ‘Executive’  were all re-elected, John McDonald President, Dave Coulton Captain/Secretary, Don Stevenson as Vice-Captain/Treasurer, and  Vice Presidents being Lex Roberts and Bill Reardon.

What a difference a week makes in the game of Golf.

Last week 24 points won the “chook”, runner-up balls, and led the ball rundown, this week 24 points didn’t even get a ball.

New member Leesa Dawson fired up to win the “chook” with 29 points. Consequently, for winning the “chook” she loses 7 shots from her handicap and plays off 36 next week.

Lionel Cleal thought he had the ‘bird in the hand “with 28 points but had to settle for the runner-up balls.

Lex Roberts with 26 led the ball run-down and the other Cleals’, – Gordon, Kim, and Max – all with 25 points claimed the last three balls.

Dave Coulton had the flat stick working well to win the putting ball with 21 putts for the afternoon.

Harold Rose was back after a few weeks’ break to claim the 3rd and 9th pin shots, plus Leesa drew his card out for him to win the mystery draw. The 5th pin shot went to Kim Cleal who guided his shot close to the hole.

Hope to see a good field of golfers next week at 2 pm for another individual Stableford over 12 holes.

John McDonald – PRESIDENT
