Welcome back! After a tough back end to Term 3 for our school community we hope that everyone had a nice break and
got to enjoy some family time over the holiday period. It has been a great start to the term, having all our students and staff back onsite to get back into their learning.
Student voice is strong at Bingara Central School and being a part of the Student Representative Council is a great leadership opportunity. With these positions comes the expectation that the elect upholds the values of our school
in everything that they do. They will be the voice of every other student. They will be the school representatives within
our community.
The elections have been undertaken today and as always, it is a highly contested event. We definitely have some very passionate students who live and breathe Bingara Central School.
Under the guidance of Mrs Pleffer and Miss Coddington, we are very excited to work with the SRC elect for 2022 in an effort to further contribute to the student body and give back to the community.
This term we will continue on Level 3 restrictions, until advised otherwise. This means that we will have:
• a full return of all students with reduced mingling and on-site activities.
• on school sites, both indoors and outdoors, masks or face coverings are required for all staff.
• Masks or face coverings are required indoors and recommended outdoors for all students Year 7 and above (unless
exercising or eating).
• Masks recommended indoors and outdoors for primary students (unless exercising or eating).
Last term we celebrated the achievements of our HSC 2021 Graduates.
They have nearly made it to the end of a unique and very tough year. Their resilience and work ethic through this
time are to be admired.
With the HSC exams proceeding for all students from 9 November 2021, we are prioritising the continuation of revision,
learning and wellbeing support for our HSC students.
TERM 4 Weeks 1-5 HSC 2021 Student Cohort
In the lead up to the HSC exams our staff will be providing support for our students in Biology, PDHPE, Advanced
Mathematics and Primary Industries on both Tuesday and Wednesday of every week.
In addition to these days, the compulsory Life Ready course for all HSC students will be undertaken for our HSC 2022
Graduates year group. This course will be held across two days, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 October.
All students who are not sitting examinations for their courses will not be expected to attend school on these days.
However, if you need a check in or need assistance we encourage all our students to attend school to address your needs
and access our facilities.
Last term a letter was provided to all HSC students which included the COVIDSafe Exam Rules, changes to the 2021
HSC one-page flyer and the 2021 HSC Exam Timetable. Students will also have access to their personalised timetable
via Students Online and are asked to check their name and update their email address in the Personal Details section.
TERM 4 Weeks 6 -7 HSC 2022 Student Cohort
Whilst our HSC 2021 cohort are sitting their examinations (with the majority of examinations occurring in weeks 6
and 7) our incoming student group (the current Year 10) will be undertaking the compulsory courses for all HSC students.
These include:
• All My Own Work
• Life Ready course
• HSC Minimum Standards testing
In addition to these courses, all students from the incoming HSC group will be undertaking basic literacy and numeracy
lessons and study skills sessions.
The course content for all HSC 2022 students will begin on Tuesday Week 8 of Term 4.
