Wet Weather boosts Player Numbers

Due to the rain during the week stopping the harvest, we had 15 players which included two visitors for 12 holes of individual Stableford.

Harold (Tubby) Rose was the winner with 31 points and claimed ‘the chook’ for Rover his cat. Consequently, Tubby will be playing off a 4 stroke less handicap next week. (Well played Tubby).

The runner-up was Angus Moxam, one of our harvest visitors from the Gold Coast carding 25 points. His visiting mate Richard Moor led the ball rundown with 24 points along with Lex Roberts also on 24 points. The last two balls went to David Moor and Alan Campbell both coming in with 22 points.

Phil O’Keeffe claimed the putting competition ball in a countback with Harold Rose, both recording 22 putts for the 12 holes played. Phil also landed a good shot on the 5th to win the pin shot on offer. Lionel Cleal’s foot slipped to claim the 9th pin shot but no one could guide a ball into the gale-force wind blowing on the 3rd, to win that pin shot, that ball went back into the cupboard for next week.

Leesa Dawson’s card was drawn out by Tubby Rose for her to claim the mystery ball.

Another individual Stableford next Friday 19th at 2 pm weather permitting, hope to see another good roll-up of players.
